Capital Improvement Program
Serving Your Neighborhood
Since its establishment in 1899, RVSD has been dedicated to providing reliable wastewater services to the communities of Fairfax, San Anselmo, Ross, Larkspur, Bon Air, Sleepy Hollow, Kentfield, Kent Woodlands, Oak Manor, and Greenbrae.
Today, we operate and maintain about 200 miles of sewer pipelines and 19 pump stations, which collect and transport approximately 4 million gallons of wastewater per day to the Central Marin Sanitation Agency for treatment. Much of this system is aging and requires renewal.
Our Capital Improvement Program focuses on upgrading this infrastructure to improve system reliability and efficiency.
Our Ten-Year Capital Improvement Program outlines long-term priorities based on system condition, risk, community needs, and regulatory requirements. View the current Ten-Year Plan here Version OptionsCapital Improvement ProgramHeadline.
During construction, you may experience temporary impacts such as noise, dust, lane closures, traffic delays, detours, parking restrictions, and occasional night work. We make every effort to minimize disruptions, maintain local and emergency access, and ensure uninterrupted mail delivery.
Thank you for your patience as we make these essential long-term improvements to better serve our community!
There are several easy ways to stay updated on our Capital Improvement Program. Explore the tabs below for more details.
